Students are engaged in looking at real-world issues and situations, identifying the problem/finding the root components, understanding how the problem evolved, and how it can be solved, improved, or evolved.
- Collaboration and teamwork through face-to-face or virtual teaming. Teachers and students use various resources, modalities, and environments to communicate and work collaboratively, including at a distance to support individual learning and contribute to the learning of others.
- Creativity, imagination, and innovation through creative thinking, constructing knowledge, and developing new and innovative products and processes. Students have opportunities through STEAM activities, Open Mic sessions, performing arts performances, art showcases, and technology creations.
- Understanding and appreciating diverse cultures where students will understand human, cultural, and societal issues and practice legal, moral, and ethical behaviors. Students have opportunities to take on important issues such as saving our planet, financial literacy, and healthy habits.
