The Wellspring Schools- Instructional Support Center

To ensure the educational needs of students are being met, teachers must become highly skilled and effective at identifying students’ strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles as well as implementing differentiated instructional approaches. The Wellspring Instructional Support Center provides guidance and support for continuous learning. Professional learning is conducted by The Wellspring School’s instructional coach in which collaboration with teacher teams reflect on their professional practice in fulfilling the school’s vision. Dialogue around best practices in curriculum alignment, assessment, and instruction is consistent and continuous through workshops and trainings and class inter-visitation.
Teachers work collaboratively in a reflective inquiry protocol to monitor student academic progress, make curricular and instructional decisions, and share strategies that maximize student learning throughout the school year. All staff members are fully supported through the instructional coach to ensure all students have access to high-quality instruction that meets the needs of all students.

Islamic and
Arabic Studies

Just as The Wellspring Schools students are expected to grow and learn in Islamic, Arabic, and Quranic sciences, all staff members are expected to as well. To promote the lifelong learning of the Islamic sciences, all staff members take courses in Islamic studies, taught by the NYC Muslim Center instructors. Additionally, all staff members are eligible to take Arabic and Islamic studies courses every semester through the FKAD Institute. www.FKADInstitute.org
